through the U.S. Foreign Claims Act Victim: Male Adult Description
from the Claims Report: “[…] Facts: a. Claimant states that his brother was killed when
US forces destroyed his home with faimly inside. b. US Forces engaged a home in Al-Duluyia on this
day. c. US Forces dropped one 500 pound bomb on this day
and in this area. d. Insurgents were engaging US forces from homes in
this area on this day. 6. Opinion: a. Insurgents were engaging US Forces from this
house and two other homes. Predator video shows insurgents engaging with
RPG’s and small arms fire. Recommended action: Claim should be denied. […]” Testimony of the father, who filed the claim: “In [sic] the date mention [sic] above the American
forces shot the erea [sic] which led to destroy the house and killing my son
(redacted) who went to visit his uncle’s family [?] while he was inside the
house [?]. This led to cause big damage as shown in the legal expert report
and certification of death.” |
